30th April - John Cruckshank, Matt Dyktynski and more....

Our two feature acts this week are a couple of GUARANTEED SLAYERS!!! Firm favourites here at The Comedy Lounge and throughout Australia, John Cruckshank and Matt Dyktynski will be bringing the LOLs hard styles.

Fresh from a successful two week run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival John Cruckshank is heading up a field packed full of pro and up and coming comedians. Let his excellent writing and world weary anecdotes rock you back and forward in vigorous fits of laughter. He's one of the best young comics in Australia and if you haven't seen him, then now's ya chance before he becomes bigger than cheese!

Mcing we have the wonderful mirth maker Matt Dyktynski, actor, player, philanthropist, lover. Matt wears many hats but on stage at The Comedy Lounge is where he belongs, whipping the Lounge faithful into a funny frenzy.

In support we have the other, as talented half of the 'Cruckshank Ray Badran'... Ray Badran, future headliner Peter Egner, Kristen Bosenberg, Samuel McMillan, Jared Jekyll, Ben Kochan and Dave Keeshan with surprise guests to be announced.

04/16/12 - Cafe Lounge - Surry Hills, NSW

Amazing headliner this week, all the way from the UK, Mr Entertainment himself Sol Bernstein. Here's what the UK press say about him...

" One part Alf Garnett, two parts Mel Brooks, and three parts like nothing you've ever heard" The Guardian

"An instantly winning creation" Evening Standard

"No age barrier to comic genius" Edinburgh Evening News

"Bernstein's the real deal, you'd better believe it" The Scotsman

And here's a bit more bio for ya....

'The legend that is Sol Bernstein escaped the Pogroms in Russia, the Nazis in Germany, and went on to become the World's 1st all-round entertainer.

He's performed all over the world at venues including The London Palladium, New York's Carnegie Hall, The Paris Olympia, Caesars Palace Las Vegas, and Scunthorpe Baths, but it's at night clubs where Sol really comes to life. His charisma, his style, his catch phrase "why don't you put on a tie" his chutzpah, put it all together and you see the magic that is Sol Bernstein.

He's worked with, and been friends with, some of the worlds GREATEST performers, Elvis, Judy Garland, The Rat Pack, Lenny Bruce, Jack Benny, George Burns, Milton Berle, Doris Day, Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Eddie Large.'

Wowsers, strap yourselves in. MCing we have comedy lounge favourite Seamus McAlary fresh from a successful run in Melbourne at the international comedy festival. In support we have Rodney Todd, Alex Woloschyn, Liam Bradbery, Nathan Lentern, Jackson Hodge and more madness to be announced.

JUST $10?!?!?! MADNESS....
